If you are going to criticise a player then do it for his poor play rather than the country he is from. Comment posted by U, at 8 Jun U Think a few of you are being grossly unfair on Hogg.

He made one mistake with knock on and didn't let anyone down. His positioning was immense throughout and was left on an island more than once by unintelligent wing play. Remember he is 20 years old and will come on leaps and bounds with this experience and playing against guys like Cooper. Comment posted by proof, at 8 Jun proof.

I thought Hogg had a good game. Still doesn't beat Halfpenny in my eyes though. Dissapointed for Bowe, we defintely missed his speed. I like North and Cuthberts ball carrying but at times it looked like we needed a bit more pace.

Probably just me but I thought they looked a bit slow today at times. I just wanted to see how many dislikes my comment would get: " So effectively you are a self confessed WUM, which is why no one will take any of your posts seriously. Try the football forums, you would excel there. Excellent game of rugby!

At last a proper test and an excellent win considering a lot of the players are second string. Hopefully these type of games will decide the test team. It's just a shame that so called Lions fans use these threads to have a dig at players just because they are not from the country you support.

That was the toughest test by a country but the Lions ground out a win against a very determined side. Forwards win games, backs decide by how much Set piece v. Was everywhere in the tackle, under the high ball and ruled the lineout. Come on Wade would be a nightmare in defence, Why don't you stop the baiting on as Lions thread we had enough of that nonsense during the six nations. Not sure I watched the same again as a few here! Thought the performance of both Youngs, Farrell, Lydiate, Gray and Hogg put themselves in the frame for the test.

Out of them I can only see T Youngs and Gray seriously starting but it was exactly what you want players putting in good performances to keep the general standard v high. Great impact from the bench and a good test match. Had a lot of injuries for the November game. They are six nations champions and did not achieve this on the strength of one game against England.. I think its time people stood behind the lions and see individual strengths and not what nationality they are.

Thought North looked really good never been a huge fan of his but credit where credits due he made a really strong impact on the game. Actually though Farrell had a better game as well, Sexton still starting but farrell showed a bit today. Cuthbert looked out of his depth though.

He was better today than last week and was good at place kicking but attacking wise he didn't bring in the likes of cuthbert, bowe or north effectively and looked abit hesitant he also kicked alot of ball away and they were not good kicks and allowed the reds to gain easy possesion.

Does everyone on here judge a good performance by ball in hand and yards gained. Rugby is so much more, the back row were bordering outstanding today with not too much at breakdown from the front five. The backs were disjointed but individually all played well.

Considering the number of players out of position and injuries this was a superb stepping stone to the tests. Can't wait to support. I watched the Scotland game and thought they got the tactics wrong and had a bad start. Comment posted by lionman, at 8 Jun lionman. That was Warburtons 1st start since the 6N. Problem is SW is captain so there will be a lot of people waiting to jump on his back. Shame about TB, had him a GN in my team. Which says it all really. Instead of slating Scotland I'm just happy for Samoa who add a lot to world rugby and it's good to see them becoming more competitive.

I picked up the second half of your game on satellite this morning, You have 15 players on a lions tour no Hook or R Jones I thought it was a good effort Scotland almost at full strength played it all wrong, a different wooden spoon for Scotland coming.
