Sky remote control setup for samsung smart tv

I had same issue but it worked on 4th try. Everything else to do with the EPG works perfectly, any ideas? I am hoping it does it and I simply don't know how but it would be frustrating to have to use the Sky remote to record a program when the smart remote can do everything else.

Thanks for giving me the answer. Yeah the record button should be more accessable, but I'm really impressed by the Samsung universal remote. At last I can maybe ditch a whole bunch of hideously designed remotes.

Rich60 Novice Member. Hi I just got a new samsung smart tv uh The only irritation i have is9 I was wondering have you found a quick way of exiting the sky epg? I find the only way is multiple presses of the return button on the smart remote. Looking for the equivalent of the Sky button on the sky remote.

Any suggestions? I have a HU and have the same problem, constantly hitting the return arrow to get out of any menu.

Any ideas anyone??? A couple of other things if anyone can shed some light on these? However I have noticed in faint grey text under the yellow 'C' button the word 'Rec' which I assume is short for record. Any idea how to access these 'greyed' out functions on the remote? I have to use the sky remote to use sky. I have tried recalibration the remote - the picture shows in the little screen but it doesn't change the channels.

When I eventually have to search for model number it finds the model but still won't change channels. I have restored factory settings to sort it out but all that does is end up with the sky source being 'unknown' - although the sky remote will still work. Anyone got any other bright ideas for how to fix this?? Getting a bit desperate. Or if anyone knows why this is happening then do let me know. Nothing has changed at the Sky end, and as your Sky box still responds to the Sky remote, it can only be an issie with the Samsung remote.

Either a fault or an update maybe? I've swapped the HDMI cables. Reset the remote and updated my SKY box still it won't work. I have to use the SKY remote which defeats the purpose? Not a Sky issue if the Sky remote still controls the box normally. Maybe a question for the Samsung forum, if there is one, or Samsung support? Samsung team are lost. Did you get this fixed? It literally happened to me today and i have the same issue and have followed the same steps.

Please let me know how it goes. Im beginning to think it is just the sky box that has abandoned the functionality for some reason.

I have an alternative sky box that i intend to try later today. Will update you how it goes. It is under connected boxes. On the SS tv when offered to search just put in one character, a D for example. You then get all the DRX models of sky box. Sky boxes just respond to the remote signal.
